"Edson’s vivid portrayal of the urban area, as well as the working class and underclass, creates a vision of Saint John that highlights the discrepancy between the pre-modern idyllic notion of life in Atlantic Canada and the more complicated reality of the region."

The Moon is Real to be published by Urban Farmhouse Press

I'm very happy to announce that my fifth novel, The Moon is Real (Winner of WFNB's 2013 David Adams Richards Prize), has been picked up by Urban Farmhouse Press. No publication date yet, but it's likely coming out summer or fall 2016. UFP is a cool and eager, up-and-coming press based out of Windsor, Ontario. I've put a lot of hours rewriting and reworking this story and it feels great to have found a home with such a cool press. Check out UFP HERE

The Moon is Real update

Some exciting news regarding The Moon is Real will be coming shortly...As for Dogs in Heat, I'm working away, almost finished the first official rewrite. From here I'll print it out and read through it, pen in hand. I'm hoping to have a first final draft completed by Spring 2016. It currently sits at 200 pages and is going very well. Hemingway, Satan, and van Gogh as primary characters...a bit of a stretch for me but am having so much fun.
