A few weeks ago a friend of mine suggested I read Stephen King's On Writing. It wasn't the first time someone told me to read it. So I bought it on Saturday and finished it on Sunday. It taught me a few things, for sure, and I disagreed with a few things too. But the biggest lesson I learned from this master writer is the value of discipline. I am brutal with my writing habits and have now decided to wake every morning at 5:30 and get in one solid hour of writing before the baby wakes and the day begins. Thank you, Stephen King, for getting my arse in gear.PS--Happy 1st Birthday to my baby girl!
